The first time I was in Iowa was during August of 2013, on a road trip with a friend of mine and my dad. We entered Iowa from Kansas on the way to Nebraska.

After leaving Nebraska, we returned to Iowa and drove around the Amana Colonies. In Amana, we ate family style food at the Ox Yoke Inn.

Before leaving Iowa, we spent more time at our hotel's water park.

Then, we visited Herbert Hoover's birth cottage and the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum which are located next to each other in West Branch.

We then returned to Michigan (by traveling through Illinois and Indiana).
